JBI - The Newsdesk

I think the creative lull is over! I've recently got back into programming and that seems to have kicked off my creative juices.

As always I have several projects on the go, but this year I have promised myself that I will finish every project I currently have running before starting any new ones.

I've added 2 new downloads to the 3D Stuff section. A fern from the wonderful eelie and a sci-fi air car thing from the equally wonderful Gog.

I also have a new job as a sales administrator (whatever that means!) for a stupendously wonderful company called Exide Technologies. This means I now have a lot of spare cash to spend in the pub, upgrading behemoth and the financial black hole which is GeekAndProud.co.uk

I've hit a bit of creative wall recently. All my ideas have dried up, so I've gone back to programming and have been playing around with VB and have finally got a decent credit card authorisation thing working in Handy Shopper. Still got a load to do.

If I get a minute I'm going to re-do the 3D Art gallery (again!) so it is smaller and takes less time to load.

It has been sometime before I could get online recently. Events here at JBI HQ have been rather crushing, computing time-wise. I've added a new image to the 3D gallery. Please check it out.

I've also added another download by eelie to the site. More seashells stuff. You can see it here.

Added a new picture to my Misc Gallery.

I've also added some funky Java scripting that creates popup dialogs that are more intune with my site's colour scheme. Unfortunately this doesn't work for Netscape or Mozilla, but I've fixed it so that the popup's work anyway.

I've changed most of the borders around the table to a rather swish black line. A complete balls-up by me but it looked pretty so I kept and implemented it sitewide!

Just uploaded some funky new downloads, some stuff I've made for Bryce.

I've also created a new gallery containing pictures I use for this site and other JBI bits and pieces. You can find that in the Graphic Design section.

I may remove the Random Thoughts section and point the link towards my forums over at Geek And Proud. That way I can get quicker feedback on the random stuff I come up with.

Personal news, had a job interview yesterday over the phone. Very bizarre, indeed.

23/06/2003 Added a rather swish slideshow to the galleries. Thanks to JavaScript.com for that.

Yet again just another tidying up session. I've sorted out the links in the 3D Art gallery. I've also gutted the downloads section and removed a few files from there. I did this to keep my bandwidth down and because I don't want those files to be downloaded.

Er... one more thing, you know the copyright thing at the bottom of the screen, well for some reason it works OK in IE but won't in Netscape or other browsers. Basically the script (server side) should update each year but in non IE browsers it is displays the current year as "103". Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this? E-mail me!

A small update today. Just tidying up a few links and such like. I've also uploaded one more picture to the 3D stuff. It is called Twisted Metal, until I think of a better name.

I'm going to leave the 3D stuff for the moment and design some stuff to flesh out my 2D pics and my website portfolio. I doubt I will stick to that because I have too many 3D project running and designs on paper to try out. Plus its such great fun!

Nearly 3 months since I last updated the site. I been really busy on GAP.biz which once again has been put back a couple of months.

In this update I have re-made the 3D picture gallery and added a ton of new pictures. Check them out!

A huge restructure of the site has taken place. This was mainly done so I can use the site to show off to potential employers/clients.

First of all the 3D Art galleries have been gutted, freshened up and reorganised (sort of). The downloads page has moved the stuff section and a link to my resume has appeared on the side menu.

The sites page and links page are very different, they just look the similar. The links page contains links to JBI recommended sites where as the sites page is a collection of links to sites I've designed, built and manage.
